Myth: I can marry an American Citizen for Green Card, live together for few years and then diverse, and move on.

Truth: There is America before 9/11 and an America after 9/11. May be some of you ancestors or old relatives have chosen a wrong path and not get caught. That is not the reality anymore. Homeland security runs a separate task force called Operation “Knott” so fast through which agents specifically track and target fraudulent marriages. Please refer the recorded videos in our website from homeland security in which agents explain the process of tracking fraudulent marriages.

The consequences are lethal, the American Citizen who participated will go to Jail and the immigrant will face both Jail time & deportation. He or she may be permanently debarred from United States for breaking a federal law. Also, even if the respective individual manages to escape the initial screenings, Green Card is not Citizenship, and it can always be revoked. People also run the inherent risks of getting black mailed for the rest of their life’s. Probably, people involved in fraudulent marriages end up paying the American Citizen involved in the fraud for the rest of their life.

If you are deported from United States on a federal crime no multinational company will hire such individuals in their home country and any potential opportunities to work with people abroad ceases because of the fraudulent history. Individuals may not be able to enter US under any other visa in future. After all the education and skill sets an individual has acquired you must ask yourself is it worth throwing it all away to end up as a fraud
