IT sweat shops have a lot of employees with fake resumes both international students and folks who directly apply for a work visa from foreign countries. These companies are playing gamble on big corporations since the giant firms run only a criminal background check not a thorough employment check before hiring many consultants. Even if they did, then the candidate will fail the background check and apply for a different firm. There is no system available for the potential employer to verify if an individual has faked his or her resume and credentials before.

What students need to understand is as long as you have maintained a valid status under any visa in United States you can always come back on the same or a different visa. You can also transfer back & forth to a different visa status such as F1 student visa for a short term course until you find an employer. But if you risk the chance of loosing the validity of a particular visa you are currently in or lie to get a wok visa then the individual can get in to a lot more trouble simply out of ignorance, and risk the long term process of getting a Green Card and eventually becoming an American citizen. Students are trapped and unable or scared to ask for help from the right government agencies who can help them because these students knowingly or out of ignorance have already lied to many of the agencies such as USCIS, DOL etc. by submitted fake resume to get a job and an immigration status.
